Friday Favorites: This & That

Friday, January 13, 2017

Back at it again on this snow/ice day with one of my favorites, Friday Favorites with Andrea, Erika, & Narci.

This week was a little bit of this and a little bit of that.  It was our first full week back to school (although we're missing today for an ice storm).  It has been cold and it was warm and now it's cold again.  It's one of those weeks that reminds me that unless it's snowing a foot, I really dislike winter.

Is it spring yet?!

Seeing 72 degrees was definitely a favorite for the week!  I could sign up for this everyday (minus the wind).

But the temps we've been dealt yesterday and will be today are less than stellar. Not my favorite.

School kicked back off hard and heavy, dance is back on, musical theatre audtions are in the works, AC had her first volleyball scrimmage, and Ava was in a music video.  It has been a full week!

Watching my girl learn this sport is a favorite.  I've already seen so much growth in her since fall volleyball.  Proud of her for stepping out to do something different (and that intimidated her).

Late evening trips to Target with her are also a favorite.  We found all kinds of fun things.  I'm still trying to figure out why there was a bin of "thongs" mixed in on the house wear aisle among all the sponges (you read that right).  #cantmakethisstuffup

Getting a special trip to the library during class time because you are a crazy good reader and have officially moved up to real deal chapter books was a favorite!  So proud of this little studious one.

And yes, we still have trees up around here.  #dontjudge

And Alli "spinning records" (playing with her CD player) is a favorite.  She looks like she was caught red handed here. I just love this girl.

Wednesday was Ava's music video debut 😝. She had an absolute blast (although she was petrified for the first 5 minutes)
Bucky Heard, one of the Righteous Brothers in Vegas actually lives here in B-town.  His amazingly talented wife is one of the girls dance teachers/choreographers.   She asked Ava to be included in "Love Wins All", a new Righteous Brothers song/video that will be included in their show at Harrah's in Las Vegas.  I mean how cool is that?  Such a fun opportunity for Ava!  And she had an absolute blast doing this with friends.

And can we talk about The Fitness Marshall?!  Please tell me I'm NOT the only person in America who is just now catching on?!  I do feel like someone told me about him recently, but they didn't stress just how good this stuff is.  I'll be svelte in no time thanks to this guy!  Yes and amen.  Take it church.

And over in my Etsy land, I've been busy making a ton of these cuties.  Custom piggy banks (with glitter dipped ears) and an over the top bow!  I've done others, but these Eiffel tower have been super popular lately.

That's been our week in a nutshell.  We're looking forward to snuggling up this weekend and staying warm (and hopefully not losing power).

I hate ice.

Hope your weekend is the best!
