Weekend Wrap-Up

Would you believe I didn't take a single picture on Saturday??!  Not a one.  Nope. Nothing.

The girls had their last competition before nationals and a super early call time.  As always, there were lots of trophies and awards.  I think I say it every time, but I am so thankful for our studio.  The girls spend so much time with their dance family and every time I look around, I'm just so thankful for the kids and people they are surrounded by.  Sweet girls (and a few guys), workers, the best teacher/choreographers in the midwest (I mean for real) and people that pour so much love in them.  I'm a little sad AC is thinking of not doing team next year, but I also want her to do something she loves.  And it's not like we won't still be there every day.  :)

Sunday we had church and I was blown away when we got back to the car.  Ava handed me this card and said, "hold onto your rope, Mama."  Confused I opened it up.  It's funny how what your 6 year old learned in church ministered to my heart probably more.  It was exactly what I needed to hear.

She went on to explain to me that faith was like a rope.  "Mommy, maybe you have been asking for something and you have been asking for it for a long time. It may take a long time, but don't let go of your rope. I'm still praying for healing for Alli."  And just like that, I'm convicted to keep praying and believing.  For the long haul.

After lunch, this crew put on a show for us.  Alli absolutely adores her sisters and loves watching them entertain.

We had a date afternoon with our BIGS and went to see Cinderella performed by local company.  It was such a good cast and they did an amazing job!  AC is VERY interested in joining this acting academy next year!  I'm fired up for her to experience the stage this way.  I did some local theater growing up and have such great memories.

Fun to run in to friends at the theater!

After some time with the girls we came home and hung out with the neighbors.  The girls found out Anna Claire was going to Kanakuk K-Kountry for the first time this summer and everyone was squealing with excitement.  We've done the day kamp the last two years, but this Mama wasn't ready for overnight yet.  I'm SO excited for her to experience kamp.  Summer camp was always my favorite part of the summer.  I can't wait to see how she grows both in character and spiritually!

We spent the rest of the night making our packing list for kamp!  You better know this OCD Mama is going to have to find some tips and tricks before packing for her big week!  If you have any tips and tricks, please share!

Happy Monday!

I hope your week is great!
