Friday Favorites!!

Friday, December 4, 2015

Hey y'all!!

Well, that was's Friday again!  That was seriously the fastest.week.ever.  And I'm oh so thankful because I was struggling.  Thanksgiving break is always such a tease.  It's just not long enough and I think everyone was feeling the pain this week.

I'm linking up again today with.....

{one-worship nights}

We officially kicked off December and the Christmas season at church Wednesday night.  Our church does a Worship Nights every 6 weeks or so and this weeks was extra special.  Hot chocolate, worship nights family style, and communion.  I was too busy corralling Alli to get a picture, but things I want to remember forever were Ava stomping her feet, singing, and raising her hands like there was NO tomorrow.  I mean no tomorrow.  The sweetest worship warrior ever.  It was also Anna Claire's first communion as a believer.  So a very extra special night and absolutely one of my favorites!

Best picture I could get to commemorate the night.  #mamatried

{two-teacher gifts)

 The first of December also means it's time to think about teacher gifts.  We always have an astronomical amount to buy for because I add all of Alli's therapists and the girls dance teachers to the mix.  Gift cards (Starbucks, Target, Coldstone, Books a Million or if you know their favorite store) are always good and easy!  And as a former teacher myself I would have soooooo appreciated gift cards.  You can wrap them up pretty cute too, but I always try to do a little more for the extra special teachers (let's face it, I have to hand out gift cards to some since we have roughly 20 teachers/therapists between 3 girls).

A few ideas I gathered are included below....

Isn't this gift card holder so cute!   So simple and not cutesy! (AKA doesn't say "thanks a latte")  Of course the one problem with this particular holder (at least for me) is that it needs to be made.  I'm not opposed to making things, but I have vowed to make this season not stressful.  It's still super cute though so I might.  ;-)

I make these glass block lights (shameless plug), but I always love giving these as gifts too.  I'm going to start these this weekend so there is not any last minute madness.  Ha!  #mamatried

Delicious goodies are on the list because for real, who doesn't love some goodies!??!  Thinking of adding Mix and Match mama's Christmas Crunch into a cute tin, tie it up with some gorgeous ribbon, maybe add a gift card, and giving to Alli's therapists.  So cute and so yummy!

Those things will probably help me wrap up the ah-mazing therapists and teachers in our life.  Not too high maintenance and something everyone would like.  #winning

{three-unwrapping the greatest gift}

I feel certain this had made the list before, but it needs to be shared again.  It's such a beautiful book and I love this precious time doing our Jesse Tree with my girls in the mornings.  Highlight of my mornings/day.

You can purchase this on Amazon here.

There are a lot of FREE printables to make your own ornaments.  Personally I wanted a real ornament that corresponds with each day/story.  I'm still working on my ornaments, but I did add a few more this year!  Y'all have no idea how excited I was to find a whale ornament!

 The first 12 days!

Our Jesse Tree is always our first to go up and it's by far one of my favorites (and not because it's the smallest tree and the one I don't have to decorate all at once).  ;-)

Our Jesse Tree from LAST year.

Authentic (from the Holy Land) Crown of Thorns.  It always gives me the chills to place this piece on our tree, but the story of Jesus' birth can never be told without sharing His death to life.  Here is one similar if you would like one for your family.

{four-this kid}

 Totally NOT Christmas related as this post as gone, but I can not NOT share how proud I am of this girl.  She has been working SO hard!  We love our studio and instructors like family.  So proud of you, baby girl!

Surprised her for lunch to celebrate!

 So our Christmas cards are done, BUT I can totally see using this since we didn't get a family picture (just the girls).  I'm going to be calling on my neighbor for sure.  Getting everyone to sit still, smile, and pose etc is more than tricky (especially with 3 kids).  Tiny Prints created this idea generator with 100 different fun and unique shots.

This one is probably my favorite since it's the only way to insure that 2 of mine are laughing/smiling at the same time.  I seriously can't stop laughing.

If you order between now and December 6th Tiny Prints is offering 40% OFF ALL cards!

That's a wrap for today!  We have a crazy busy weekend full of dance rehearsals (it's almost competition time), our first Christmas party, and the Christmas parade on Sunday!  Have an incredible weekend!
