Chicken Parm Casserole

Thursday, November 5, 2015

I love a good casserole and I love Chicken Parmesan.  Put the two together and #bam, you have a crowd pleaser.  This is one of my girlies favorite meals.  It's super easy, fast, and delicious! My guess is you may even have all of these ingredients in stock already....which makes it even better.

Ingredients:

3-4 chicken breasts fully cooked

1 large jar of your favorite jarred spaghetti sauce OR make your own.  My family LOVES my homemade spaghetti sauce, but for this recipe I use store bought.

2 cups of shredded mozzerella

1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs (I use Italian style)

2 tablespoons of olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

 Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2) Grease a 9X13  casserole dish with cooking spray

3) Layer the fully cooked chicken on the bottom of the dish.  Pour the entire marinara sauce and mix in with the chicken.

4) Top with cheese until the dish is covered (this is where we kind of go cheese crazy)

5) Pour the breadcrumbs on top of cheese.

6) Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbling.

I serve ours with spaghetti noodles OR zucchini noodles, garlic bread, and salad.

Voilà.

A fairly simple and fast meal my little family LOVES.

I wish I had an after picture for you, but...

they ate it all.

Enjoy!
