Red, White, & Blue Review

The night before the 4th, we sat on the hill  and watched the fireworks from the Landing (lame...they were really bad this year, not sure why.  Fog maybe?!)
On the 4th, John was working so the girls and I spent the day in the water hose, riding scooters, and playing in our yard while I smoked ribs for the night.  It was H-O-T, but it felt so good not to have to go anywhere or do anything.

Ava helped make the potato salad!

Several of our neighbors met us in the cul-de-sac around 9:30 and the show began.  Alli thought the BIG fireworks were as they shot into the sky.  Once they popped, however, she lost it.  So not a fan.  The rest of us were Super impressed with our grand finale!  The girls picked out a gorgeous one called PINK and John and Shannon picked out a Duck Commander finale that was massive and simply gorgeous.  I wish I would have caught a some pictures, but I was too busy watching our sweet girls ooooing and awwwwing.

Love a good cul-de-sac party!  Happy Birthday, America!
