Ava goes to school....

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

I placed Ava's name on the waiting list soon after we moved to Branson with the understanding they wouldn't have a spot for her until NEXT fall.

Best case scenario, maybe in the spring.  I was great with the idea of keeping her home.

I've so enjoyed our days and breaks from Mothers Day out, Alli's therapies, dance, soccer, etc.  Just the two of us and of course our little Al.  The time has allowed Ava E and I some excellent QT time!  And time she and I both so desperately needed.

After all, she was 15 months old when I went on bed rest and 26 months when Alli came home from the hospital, then followed by therapies and doctors almost daily since that time.  She never really got the chance to be a baby or even a toddler.

Siblings of kiddos with special needs are unsung heroes in my book.

They just are.....

As much as I have loved our time together, I also desperately needed a place for Ava.  Last Tuesday, that waiting list opened up and she had a spot!  Thank you, Jesus!  Alli's therapies and doctors clinic visits have kicked back and it's just not fair for Ava to have to sit through all of those.  The news was  made even better by the fact it's only 2.5 hours 3 days a week, instead of the typical 5 hours 2 days a week we were use to in Tennessee.  This way, we still have our mornings together and while she's gone to "school,"  Alli and I head to therapy.  Much better use of our time.

Yay for today!

Absolutely, positively adore her.
